When their parents arranged their marriage in 1620, the two of them simply accepted. They already knew each other, practically being raised together.Getting married and merging the two families' wealth was the most logical thing to do.
Even if at the beginning, life in Paris was quite challenging, in a couple of years the two of them managed to adjust and own a flourishing tavern and a well-sited house.
Now Lorence loves meeting people and organizing feasts for florists and musketeers.

He knows his wife as far back as early childhood, so he respects her and refuses to ever become like his father.
Life in Paris, owning a small tavern near Place de Grève proved to be quite challenging for Junien and his young wife, but the two of them almost got accustomed to the weekly executions, occasional drunkards and rowdys.

Fall 1616-1620

Life as miller's wife, working almost all day near hot ovens while raising children has never been an easy one, but the hard-work wasn't exactly what Jenne expected from her life.Even so, she was happy to spend most of her days baking in the kitchen or taking care of the children because she knew that was the only way to stay away from her husband.

Junien wasn't so bad after all ... at least on daylight. The two fears even managed to politely adress to each other while working, ignoring, of course, Junien's not so politely shouted commands.

But the young woman's nightmare started after dark, as the windmill closed, cutomers left and children fell asleep.

Once the night settled, Junien simply became a different man and everyone got used to see Jenne with a new bruise or a different scar every morning. Not even the birth of their first son seemed to calm her husband.

In their first years of marriage, Jenne gave birth to one son and two daughters, but unfortunately Junien's daughter from his first marriage, Emme and their son, Durant, died of measles.

In spite of his father's violent nature, Junien, the oldest son, became a gentle man, often trying to stand for his step-mother and sisters when his father was all abroad.

He met the young Jenne Martin, a servant who worked for the Valois family as their Scullery Maid. The jealous girl was already blinded by her obsession for her master and, after his last refusal, she decided to accept Junien's proposal.

The two of them soon got married and she left Maximilian's domains and moved in with Junien and his son.

Well, their first night as a husband and wife wasn't exactly how Jenne expected it to be.After their religious ceremony at the church, Junien radically transformed into a new man, violent and discontented by everything. He raped his young bride, unimpressed by her cries.

And so the two of them started their life together ...

Fall 1600-1604

Violence was a common thing in Junien and Agnesot's first year of marriage. The young and rebel Agnesot used to dream of an adventurous life, more like the one that her wet-nurse used to tell her about, in her early years. She dreamed of princes and princesses, elves and fairies, while real world was nothing like that.Especially when she was forced to marry her cousin, Junien, a religious fanatic that rarely talked to her and when he did address to her, was only to shout at his young wife or accuse her of violating God's will.

A common dispute in the family.

With a life like this and a husband like that, no wonder that she got pregnant immediately. She got birth to a healthy daughter, Alips Dupuis.Agnesot simply adored her daughter, but Junien just continued to demand a son.

She gave birth to a son, Junien, but only 2 years later. The little boy looked fragile and weak, so both his parents prayed that he would live and survive infancy. While Junien survived, their first daughter died of bloody flux* by the age of 2, leaving her mother devastated.

After her oldest daughter's death.

Another pregnancy came into Agnesot's life, but unfortunately, she suffered a miscarriage. She survived, but she wasn't lucky enough not to be caught. When her husband found out, he informed the Inquisition and she was arrested and sentenced to death.

Junien didn't seem to affected by his wife's tragic fate, seeming more concerned about finding a new wife and a mother for his children.

Born: 1580
Traits: Kind, Trustworthy, Immature, Dreamer, Childish, Loving
Romantic History: She has been in love with her master, the Baron Maximilian de Valois since she was a young girl, but he never returned her feelings. After she had been refused, Jenne decided to get married and start her life away from her master's domain.
Husband: Junien Dupuis
Aspiration: Romance
Character Alignment: Neutral
Class: She was born a servant for the Valois family, but she got married into a merchant family.
Jenne was born after her mother's city was devastated by deserters and thieves and her mother was raped by one (or many, to be more accurate) of them.So the young girl never had the chance to meet her father.Or the desire. Her mother, Cornille, ran away from the realm when she found out she was pregnant. After she gave birth to her daughter, she started serving the Valois family first as a wet nurse for the family's numerous children (who unfortunately died before they turned 3) and later as a Kitchen Maid and trusted servant.Jenne grew up along with her master, Maximilian and as she turned into a young woman, she became quite charmed by the nobleman.
She tried to get romantically involved with him, be he refused her many times, because the young baron respected his wife too much. So, after his last refusal, Jenne decided that she wants to get her revenge, and, with her childish mind blinded by anger and jealousy, she decided that she'll get married.
But getting married to Junien Dupuis wasn't exactly her smartest decision as she already started to suffer the consequences.
