What did Marion de Valois do that caused her to become an outcast of society? Why did her parents disown her? If she is disowned, then why is her last name still de Valois?

Poor Marion de Valois! Now, she has no family to turn to! And with this evil man as a lover, things will probably not look good for her. Then again, she's also pretty evil, so maybe the evilness of them both will work out somehow.

I still don't see how she and her lover are "evil". According to Christian theology, all of humanity has sinned before God and does not deserve to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, unless someone who has led a sinless life sacrifices his life to those who have sinned. If she were a Christian, then she would ask for forgiveness and mercy from the Church, and the Church would grant her forgiveness after confession and absolution. There is no such thing as an "unforgiveable" sin. All sins - mortal or venial - are forgiveable. The point is to recognize one's sinful ways and repent them (turn away from sin) in order to live a more righteous life with God. The whole issue gets a little more complicated, when you throw in the different denominations of Christianity and their views on salvation.

Good work. Keep going. You are finally throwing some evilness into the work! Muwahahahahah!

It's actually "The Kingdom of God". Sorry about that.

I was actually referring to the Protestant "salvation by faith alone" vs. the Catholic salvation by faith and good works.

Well, I think everything will be explained in the next story that I plan to write (it will be about Madelon and François).I just didn't want to reveal everything in their profiles yet.I'm sure that after you will read that story, you will understand why she is an outcast now and why she had been disowned.

About her name ... In the characters' profiles I will post their birth name (it's easier to keep track on everything that way), but I will also mention if she/he lost her/his titles or anything like that.
She still has her family name, but she no longer holds the title of Baroness de Valois and everything that goes with it.

Also, thank you for that religious lesson O.o I never payed too much attention to those thing before, but now I think that they will make everything a little more interesting in my game ^^

I just want to say that, in England at least, women don't actually receive titles. Titles would usually mean that they own land or work for the government (in the upper house of Parliament). And there's a difference between hereditary peers vs. life peers. A child of the peerage, if that child be not the heir apparent of the title and estate, will merely be styled "The Honourable". Richard Dawkins, I believe, married a daughter of a nobleman, styled "The Honourable".

You may want to search "The Gospel of Jesus Christ" or just "The Gospel" on Google. There, you can find a quick summary on what Jesus has done for Christians (though, from Christians' point of view, all of humanity). Christianity is not just a religion, but also a worldview and a way of life. Perhaps studying the theology and reading the Bible may help with understanding the mindset of the Christian Europeans. As you said that you had a Catholic background, it may be useful for you too. :-)

I don't mean to sound preachy, but really I am an atheist. XD

I am an atheist too, but in school I have to take classes about Orthodox religion (that's how it is in my country).I know some things about Christianity, but only the orthodoxes' point of view ^^"
And I don't really plan to concentrate everything in this challenge around religion.I know that religion plays an important role in history and I don't want to change that in my stories, but I simply don't want to write something erroneous just because I'm not familiar with the subject.

About women receiving titles ... I'm not really sure if this is also valid for France. From what I read I supposed they have titles, but I have to research some more.
